Floating around in the ethers.
Waiting to be pinned down.
Momentarily.
Uniquely.
For a very long time, I have wanted to capture the very thing that would slip away the minute I would focus my attention on it.
You know what I mean?
What was it?
I knew it was something ethereal, spiritual, light, breezy, whimsical, mysterious, and full of beauty.
Then I saw Dreamstate by Max Wanger and was so inspired.
I finally felt able to grasp hold, ever so lightly, to that illusive concept I had been imagining.
He completely inspired this shoot for me. (Thanks Max.)
My images are nothing like his.
If I tried everyday of my life I would never be able to mimic the amazingness that he embodies. (Dangit!)
However, I feel so completely satisfied with the imagery I was able to achieve here.
It feels exactly how I wanted it to feel.
Whats more? I feel exactly how I have been wanting to feel.
WINNING!
This effort was collaborative.
(Because all the best ones are.)
Go check out my incredible friends and their take on the same concept.
Mikki Platt.
Jalene Taylor.
Also, a huge shout out to the BEAUTIES that modeled for us.
Priscilla Bingham and Kelsey Hannon. So many thanks to both of you!! You are GORGEOUS.
(How awesome for me that these are both my brides, past and future respectively!?)

Holly - Better than DreamState. Jus’ sayin.
Claire - “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
